Hammocks Beach State Park always offers a great variety of activities and events to fit everybody's interests but it is looking like they are adding some fun & different activities. I'm a big supporter of local businesses & organizations that offers activities to get local kids & parents outside away from electronics to spend time together discovering new things. So when I saw some of the new things going on at Hammocks Beach State Park I had to share!

Description: Ranger-Guided hike on trails at the park with a new topic every month. You are encouraged to bring your furbabies along with you for the hike.
*Dog MUST be leashed, no longer than 6 feet

When: 1st Sunday of every month 11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Description: This program will teach you how to gather the right materials and the actual process of making a primitive fire using a bow drill.

Description: Join a Park Ranger for a boat ride over to Huggins Island to learn the history of the island and how it played a role in the Civil War.
