Happy Tuesday Everyone! Only 8 more days till Christmas!! Are you guys ready? I'm not, once again I am slacking on a holiday this year but oddly I am ok with it. I have anxiety, don't know how long I have had it being that I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my late 20's to early 30's. As I become more familiar with it, what sets it off, and how to calm myself back down quickly I am starting to see how much it had controlled my life. I would have to be atleast 15-20 minutes early for absolutely everything, my house was always clean & organized, everything had it's place and I would know if it was moved even 1 inch! Yes my house was clean all the time and I was the first person to any event but I missed out on so much especially with my kids! My house will be ok if I leave to run errands with a few crumbs from my morning toast on the kitchen counter or a basket of clean laundry needed to be folded waits till after I play a board game with my kids or go on a walk with them.
So the moral of my message today is don't let all those little things worry or stress you out because while you are worrying about all those little things you are missing little moments with your kids! They grow up so fast and all those precious little moments with the kids will be fewer and further between. This holiday season have some fun, plan a fun day with the kids when they are on break, make a mess on Christmas Eve while baking cookies for Santa, let the kids throw the wrapping paper all over the floor Chrismas morning so you can watch their eyes light up when they open a gift they really wanted.
