Carbon Dioxide Scare at Chuck E Cheese

By Lisa Hamilton November 5, 2019

On Wednesday, October 30th 2019 the Chuck E Cheese in Jacksonville was evacuated due to a carbon dioxide leak. Jacksonville Fire & Emergency Services were the first to arrive on the scene and they performed atmospheric monitoring of the building only to discover there was a carbon dioxide leak. The Emergency Services Team located the leak and turned off the tank, then the restaurant had the tank repaired just hours later resulting in being able to reopen later that day. During all this chaos one person was taken to a medical facility by EMS for treatment and was released the same day.
