Park Spotlight: Northeast Creek Park & Splash Pad

Your Family's Park & Playground Guide for the Jacksonville Crystal Coast Area

By Lisa Hamilton, Publisher for Macaroni Kid Jacksonville July 1, 2019

Recently when the Splash Pad opened in Swansboro there was ALOT of buzz about it! I took my youngest for the soft opening in hopes to beat the crowds and luckily we were able to enjoy it before Summer officially hit!  (To check out my article about the Splash Pad opening HERE!)

I'm sure a good handful of my readers know that Onslow County has a few more Splash Pads, one of which is located at Northeast Creek Park in Jacksonville. I stopped by the park to take a few pictures to not only see this Splash Pad but to see the current construction on the playground.

This playground has been long overdue for some remodeling! I'm excited for it to be finished and will make sure to let everyone know when it does reopen!

There is a nice picnic area that can be reserved for a very reasonable price through Parks & Rec or on a first come first serve basis.

Of course, I have to include that they have a bathroom at this park! I know it can make a difference when choosing a park to take the kiddos!

The splash pad is nice and a little bigger than the newly opened one in Swansboro.
