Fort Benjamin Park By: Lisa Hamilton We took a trip right outside the Onslow County line to Newport to visit Fort Benjamin Park, it had way more to offer then I expected. It was nice to go somewhere different and new instead of our normal ventures to the park right around the corner from our house. I explored all over the park (it is pretty big) to take lots of pictures for you guys to see all this park has to offer! |  |

There are fun little areas like this all over the park that seemed to be very popular with kids there of all ages! |

The park had multiple sports fields (soccer, baseball, and football), lots of tennis courts, a playground, disc golf course, fitness trail, covered pavilions with picnic tables, stage area with plenty of seating, bathrooms, recreation center, a few ponds, and plenty of parking. I hope you will get a chance to visit this park this Summer, it is worth it! |
